Rance Sabaku no Guardian Blu-ray presents the complete classic fantasy OVA series in a restored high-definition edition collected together on a single Blu-ray Disc.
Also known as Rance: The Desert Guardian, this early animated adaptation is based on the long-running Rance universe created by AliceSoft.
The story follows Rance, an exceptionally skilled but arrogant adventurer who travels alongside the devoted magician Sill Plain; Rance is hired to protect an isolated desert village that has become the target of repeated supernatural attacks.
The production combines fantasy adventure, comedy, magic and mature themes with the distinctive character designs and visual atmosphere of early-1990s Japanese OVA animation.
This production contains explicit content and mature themes.
