Clearly explained.
Animoon Publishing is a premier publisher and licensor of anime and manga based in Poland, serving international audiences through publishing, licensing and distribution. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we may collect, why we use it, who may receive it, how long we may keep it and what rights you may exercise.
Collect what we need. Explain why.
We operate an international publishing, licensing and physical-media business. Personal information is used for identifiable purposes such as account management, orders, payments, fulfillment, customer support, security and lawful business administration.
This Privacy Policy applies to animoonpublishing.com and the online services that link to it. Animoon Publishing is based in Warsaw, Poland. Physical customer orders are fulfilled through a European logistics network and may be dispatched from France, Spain or Portugal.
Our objective is to limit personal-data processing to defined purposes, use appropriate service providers, protect information with reasonable safeguards and provide a direct route for privacy requests. Where additional mandatory privacy rules apply to a particular person or processing activity, those rights remain unaffected.

02About Animoon Publishing
Animoon Publishing is a publisher and licensor of anime and manga based in Poland, serving international audiences through publishing, licensing and distribution.
Our activities may include catalog publishing, physical-media sales, licensing and rights administration, customer accounts, customer support, payment processing, fulfillment, shipping and related business operations.
This business model determines why certain personal information is required. For example, an order requires delivery information, while a licensing inquiry may require professional contact and company information.
03Applicable privacy framework
Animoon Publishing is based in Poland and processes personal information under the privacy and data-protection rules applicable to its activities, including applicable data-protection legislation.
Applicable European Union data-protection requirements are observed where they govern the relevant processing. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation, another national privacy law or another mandatory rule applies to a specific person or processing activity, Animoon Publishing will apply the requirements that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to reduce privacy rights that a customer has under mandatory applicable law.
04Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site or interact with Animoon Publishing, we may process:
- Identity and contact information, including name, email address, telephone number and billing or delivery address.
- Account information, including account identifiers, account preferences and order history.
- Order information, including products ordered, order value, shipping method, delivery status, returns, replacements and support history.
- Transaction information, including payment status, transaction references and limited information supplied by payment providers.
- Communications, including customer-support messages, title requests, licensing inquiries, rights-holder communications and other information you choose to send us.
- Professional or business information where you contact us regarding licensing, publishing, distribution, wholesale, press or another commercial relationship.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, referral information, security logs and similar operational data.
- Cookie, preference and analytics information where cookies or comparable technologies are used.
05How we receive information
We receive information primarily from you, for example when you create an account, place an order, contact support, submit a title request or send a business inquiry.
We may also receive limited information from service providers involved in a transaction or interaction, such as payment confirmation, fraud or security signals, shipping events, delivery status or account-related technical information.
Technical information may also be generated automatically when you use the Site, including ordinary server logs, session data and cookie-related information where applicable.
06Why we use information
We use personal information for defined purposes connected with operating Animoon Publishing and serving customers. These purposes may include:
- creating and maintaining customer accounts;
- processing purchases and confirming transactions;
- preparing, packing and shipping physical orders;
- providing tracking, delivery and customer support;
- handling returns, replacements, refunds, disputes or chargebacks;
- answering title requests, licensing, publishing, rights-holder, press or business inquiries;
- preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and security incidents;
- maintaining accounting, tax, transaction and business records;
- operating, troubleshooting and improving the Site and checkout experience;
- sending marketing communications where you have chosen to receive them or where otherwise lawfully permitted; and
- responding to valid legal, regulatory or rights-holder requests.
07Legal bases where applicable
Where applicable privacy law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following depending on the purpose:
- Contract or steps requested before a contract — for example, processing an order, delivering a product, maintaining an account or responding to a transaction-related request.
- Legal obligations — for example, accounting, tax, record-keeping or mandatory disclosures.
- Legitimate interests — for example, securing the Site, preventing fraud, maintaining business operations, protecting legal rights and providing appropriate customer support, where those interests are not overridden by applicable privacy rights.
- Consent — where required for optional marketing, certain cookies or another specific processing activity.
If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing where applicable. Withdrawal does not retroactively invalidate processing already carried out lawfully.
08Accounts & orders
When you create an account or place an order, we use the information reasonably necessary to identify the account, process the purchase, confirm the transaction, prepare the order, communicate important updates, provide customer support and maintain relevant records.
Order records may include the items purchased, order amount, billing and delivery details, payment status, shipping method, tracking information, support interactions and any return or replacement history associated with the transaction.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential. If you believe an account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
09Payments
Payments may be handled by independent payment processors and wallet providers. Depending on availability, checkout methods may include payment cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or other methods displayed at checkout.
Full payment-card credentials are generally provided directly to the relevant payment provider rather than stored by Animoon Publishing as ordinary store data. We may receive transaction status, transaction identifiers, limited payment-method information and fraud or verification information necessary to administer the order.
Payment providers may process information under their own privacy notices and legal responsibilities. Their independent processing is not controlled solely by this Privacy Policy.
10European fulfillment
Animoon Publishing is based in Poland, while physical customer orders may be dispatched through our European logistics network from France, Spain or Portugal.
To fulfill an order, information reasonably required for delivery — such as recipient name, delivery address, contact details, order or parcel reference and shipping instructions — may be provided to the relevant fulfillment operation, postal operator, courier or logistics provider.
Shipping and fulfillment partners receive information relevant to the service they perform. We do not intentionally provide them unrelated customer information merely because it exists in our systems.
11Cookies & technical data
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as maintaining a shopping cart, keeping a user signed in, remembering preferences, securing the Site, preventing abuse, measuring performance and understanding how the Site is used.
Some technologies are necessary for the store or checkout to function. Optional analytics or marketing technologies are used subject to the controls or consent requirements that apply to them.
You may be able to control optional technologies through our cookie interface or your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can affect login, cart, checkout or other Site functions.
12Marketing choices
Animoon Publishing may send newsletters, release announcements, catalog updates or other marketing communications where you have chosen to receive them or where another lawful basis permits the communication.
You can use an unsubscribe option where provided or contact contact@animoonpublishing.com to ask us to stop direct marketing messages.
Order confirmations, delivery notices, account security messages, responses to support requests and other service communications are not ordinary marketing messages and may still be sent when necessary.
13Who receives information
We do not sell our customer database as a commercial product. We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to service providers and other recipients that help us operate Animoon Publishing, including:
- payment and fraud-prevention providers;
- hosting, infrastructure, security and technical-service providers;
- email, communications and customer-support providers;
- manufacturing, packing, fulfillment and logistics providers;
- postal operators and couriers;
- analytics or advertising providers where enabled and lawfully used;
- accounting, tax, legal and other professional advisers;
- licensing, publishing or business partners when required for a professional inquiry or transaction; and
- public authorities, courts or other parties where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process.
The information disclosed should be relevant to the role or purpose for which the recipient receives it.
14International data handling
Animoon Publishing serves international customers. Operating the Site can therefore involve personal information being processed in more than one country.
Our corporate base is in Poland, fulfillment may involve France, Spain or Portugal, and payment, hosting, communications, security or logistics providers may operate from other locations.
Where an international transfer requires a specific safeguard or legal mechanism under applicable law, we use the mechanism required for that transfer or rely on another lawful transfer basis available in the circumstances.
15Retention
We retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute or record-keeping requirements.
Retention periods therefore vary by category. For example, order and transaction records may need to be kept longer than an ordinary support message, while marketing contact information may be retained until you unsubscribe or the relevant purpose ends.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we aim to delete, anonymize or remove it from active use where appropriate and consistent with applicable requirements.
A deletion request does not necessarily require deletion of information that Animoon Publishing must still retain for a completed transaction, legal obligation, fraud record, active dispute or another lawful reason.
16Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse or disclosure.
Measures may include access controls, secure connections, account authentication, security monitoring, software maintenance, provider controls and other safeguards appropriate to the systems being used.
No website, server, network or payment system can guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data incident occurs, we will assess it and take the notification or remediation steps required by applicable law.
If you believe your Animoon Publishing account or personal information has been compromised, contact contact@animoonpublishing.com.
17Your privacy rights
Depending on the law applicable to you and the processing concerned, you may have rights such as:
- requesting access to personal information concerning you;
- requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- requesting deletion where the applicable requirements are met;
- requesting restriction of processing in circumstances provided by law;
- objecting to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- requesting data portability where that right applies;
- withdrawing consent for future processing where processing is based on consent; and
- lodging a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.
Send requests to contact@animoonpublishing.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and protect the account or data from unauthorized disclosure.
These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions contained in the law that applies to the request.
18Sensitive information
Animoon Publishing does not require customers to provide sensitive personal information simply to browse the store or purchase ordinary products.
If sensitive information must be processed for a specific reason, we will use the lawful basis and additional protections required by the rules applicable to that processing.
Please do not send sensitive personal information in ordinary customer-service messages unless it is genuinely necessary for the issue you are asking us to resolve.
19Children
The Animoon Publishing store is intended for persons who are legally able to use online purchasing services under the rules applicable to them. We do not intentionally design the store to collect personal information from children who are not permitted to provide it independently.
If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.
20Third-party services & links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by payment processors, couriers, hosting providers, analytics providers, social platforms or other external companies.
Those companies may process information under their own privacy notices and legal responsibilities. A link or technical integration does not make Animoon Publishing the controller of an unrelated third party's independent database or processing activity.
We recommend reviewing the privacy information presented by a third party when you interact directly with that service.
21Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our systems, service providers, business activities or applicable requirements change.
The current version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it in the manner required.
